TopPage>8 CONCLUSIONS IN PHYSICAL TERMS

The conclusions, expressed in physical terms, derived from the metabolism model are:

(1) The decomposition system should be incorporated into the economic process in order to bridge the consumption and production systems, so as to fill the gap in material circulation.

(2) Economic principles should consider not only the scarcity of positive goods, but the excessiveness of negative goods as well.

(3) Within the economic process, labor services should be viewed as a process of information transfer or entropy disposal.

(4) Economic phenomena should be accounted for by the working of physical elements such as Material Circulation, Energy Metabolism, Information Accumulation, and Entropy Disposal.

(5) Capital should be referred to as the economic system itself, or the social stock.

(6) Material capital should be owned by society, and the rights to the use thereof should be owned by individuals. Intellectual capital should be owned by individuals, and the rights to the use thereof should be owned by society.

(7) The economic system should take into account the entropy concept in addition to the information concept.
